Previous experience selling Market Research, UX/ CX Research, Usability Testing services, Competitive Research/ Reports, or other related products or services is preferred.

 

general accountabilities

Lead Generation:

  • Cold Calling, attending events, using available resources (data.com, leadership networks, etc.), referrals, etc.
  • Plans and organizes daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales opportunity.
  • Qualifying leads. Develop a clear understanding of qualification criteria.

Lead Nurturing and Customer Development:

  • Lead owners are responsible for moving leads to customers along the sales process.
  • Must cater to information requests, initiate touchpoints and continue to contact leads until they exit the funnel (via close or loss).
  • Must effectively communicate company value proposition to all prospects as it relates to their custom need. Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the prospects stated or inferred need.
  • Must manage touch points at appropriate frequency, independently or via campaign, to nurture lead relationship.
  • Close business opportunities to achieve personal monthly and quarterly quotas.

Contribution to Content Development:

  • Generate creative and appropriate thematic material content for marketing to develop.
  • Distribution of relevant content to prospects as necessary.
  • Collect unsolicited or solicited feedback about content and distribute accordingly.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Account Management:

  • Proposal writing and presentation is required to move contacts from prospect to client.
  • Contract Negotiation must balance meeting prospect needs while ensuring that project margins as set by company yearly are met.
  • Manage client satisfaction by proactively identifying concern and escalating it as necessary to mitigate risk and solve challenges that arise.
  • Ensure sound hand off to research team, with careful attention to detail, ensuring all relevant information critical to success is effectively communicated and documented. Send weekly updates to the Sales Leader.
  • Retain clients to the best of your ability, inquiring about future project work, identifying opportunities for additional partnership.

Strategy and Planning:

  • Responsible for working with the manager to execute current sales plans, evaluate effectiveness and develop approved plans for future initiatives.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Documenting all leads in company CRM systems; ensuring that clear industry and role classification is identified along with contact information.
  • Ensures accuracy of documentation filed, accuracy of information in management dashboards, etc.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports in CRM, raising important or worthy issues, opportunities, etc. and sharing weekly work plans in sales meetings.
  • Conducts monthly market analysis on assigned industries, road shows, etc. to determine best way to prioritize time. Communicates prioritization decisions using clear data.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Usability, Human Factors or related field.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration Usability, Human Factors or related field.
  • Minimum Experience: 3-5 years selling consultative services.
  • Preferred Experience: 5-8 Years, or equivalent combination of education and experience. And preferably has experience selling Market Research, UX/ CX Research, Usability Testing, Competitive Research/ Reports, or other related products or services.
